Office locations are Ontario, CA and Saint Louis, MO. This position is 100% remote work, but you must reside in the general area of our offices to easily be able to attend jobsites.
Summary: Performs complete project design and drafting tasks for basic complexity projects with minimal supervision, including but not limited to HVAC system design, plumbing system design, and fire protection system design. Requires knowledge of Revit to complete the above. Possesses good writing and communication skills and knowledge of local agency standards and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs engineering studies and writes reports documenting findings and recommendations.
Performs engineering calculations.
Develops system design layout and model systems in 3-D.
Edits project specifications.
Reads codes and standards to ensure code compliant designs.
Coordinates with vendors and agencies to complete the design.
Conducts site visits to confirm existing conditions and perform job site observations.
Reviews and responds to basic RFIs and submittals.
Communicates with others.
Uses Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other software.
Continues education through seminars, classes, and additional readings.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in mechanical engineering or related field and professional engineering license preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and vendors.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physics Ability:
Ability to work with physics concepts such as heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Revit, and Bluebeam.
