Job Description


With limited supervision, this position will provide solutions for water source and geothermal heat pump designs for products ranging from 0.5 to 60 tons of cooling. The selected candidate will work both with project teams and independently to produce designs for HVAC systems based upon laboratory safety standards, building codes, and current market demands.

  • Design, development of refrigeration cycles & testing of HVAC units
  • Design, analysis, and qualification Testing
  • UL & AHRI Regulatory (AHRI, UL, ETL)
  • Establish validation, specifications, performance validation/test plans and reliability testing
  • Able to understands the regulations and transfer the understanding to preventive actions or to validation programs
  • Product design and development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations
  • Test prototypes, write development test reports and document results according to company rules
  • Oversee product development tasks including testing, assembly & manufacturing
  • Manage & Lead Multi Projects/Programs in HVAC & Related Topics
  • Leading, Organizing and Communicating Project/ Program Results & Status
  • Establish/ trigger and follow up daily testing activities to deliver results/reports according to project scope, milestones dates
  • Ownership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as needed
  • Be a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Asembly, Logistics, Purchasing, .etc.) and support them as needed
  • Adhere to project management procedures & processes including audits safety & security protocols
  • Technical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM) knowledge and experience

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of psychrometric, heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermal management
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems including compressors, fans, controls, and heat exchanger's
  • Vibration and acoustic experience
  • UX (Unigraphics) experience
  • Demonstrable motivation and ability to solve difficult design problems with timing constraints
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
