Job Description
This role of the Material Handler will have an emphasis on the receiving, picking and put away of all inventory. As a level two, this individual applies acquired job skills and company procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Job Duties
- Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices and work orders.
- Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
- Lifts up to 50lbs. and may operate a forklift.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
- Cycle count inventory to ensure accuracy. Uses root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1-2 years working in a stockroom or shipping/receiving environment
- Functional knowledge of MRP systems preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
* Accomplished “lead-by-example” tactical change agent with strong interpersonal skills
* Attentiveness to detail is a must
* Must be able to climb up and down a ladder
* Computer Skills: All Microsoft Applications
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
* Self-Motivated
