Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for a full-time Material Handler at our location in West Union. This position offers a competitive wage along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, profit sharing, PTO, etc.

Responsibilities:

• The loading and unloading of trucks safely, efficiently and effectively.
• Stocking materials as assigned.
• Build loads for delivery.
• Driving a vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
• Ensure the customer is always serviced first by providing safe, timely and efficient delivery service of building materials.
• Operating a fork truck.
• Check load to ensure it is properly secured and the correct material and amount of material is being delivered before leaving the yard.
• Keep lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability get a CDL
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience is preferred.
• Repetitive lifting of up to 35 pounds, 70lbs occasionally and the ability to bend and twist in awkward positions.
• Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Spahn & Rose’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, commissions, profit sharing, and other benefits.

Pay: $14.65 - $18.70 per hour
