As a Marketing Specialist for UPG, you will work in an “agency style” environment offering marketing services to all UPG business units. In this role, your primary focus will be on supporting the various business units’ marketing needs with a focus on design and graphics creation. This role requires initiative, time management, attention to detail, creativity, and flexibility. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UPG corporate and business units to execute a variety of marketing projects ranging from design, presentation creation, updating and managing websites, as well as ad hoc projects as directed.
• Execute marketing plans and projects as assigned.
• Manage and maintain multiple websites through WordPress.
• Develop content for web pages, infographics, gated content, etc.
• Build and design creative assets to align with growth initiatives for internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to line sheets, product and process flyers, presentations, signage, logos, advertisement, digital graphics, publication images, etc.
• Manage outside vendors and internal resources for: print, digital collateral, marketing/sales promotional materials, company store, business cards, etc.
• Assist in the execution of tradeshows and events.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; concentration in Marketing, Business, English/Communications, or similar.
• 2+ years minimum of corporate or agency marketing experience.
• Strong design experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, Canva, Hootsuite, and PowerPoint. Experience in WordPress is mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to travel to local business units (Chicagoland area) on a regular basis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
