Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to support the Upper Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense Production Engineering team (THAAD). This specific position is in support of the KSA contract where significant Industrial Participation (Offsets or Localization) requirements must be met. This role will support one or more projects that will establish production lines in KSA. This will include potential supplier evaluations in KSA, business case development, tooling acquisition and setup, production line validation and any other manufacturing related tasks that are needed to get the production line running and qualified. The position requires frequent travel to various locations within KSA as well as communication and collaboration with people located across the United States including other Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts and Program Management to name a few. The successful candidate will be required to establish and maintain positive working relationships with Saudi nationals within their manufacturing facility while also ensuring compliance with product and production requirements. Must be willing to be trained at a US based LM facility to fill identified skills gaps prior to deployment in KSA. A high degree of autonomy and professionalism are expected in this role.

This position has the potential to engage in, learn, and support various production processes for up to one (1) year TDY working out of Camden and Lufkin to become a subject matter expert in the machining and mechanical/electrical assembly of the Localized components of the THAAD system.
The expectation is for this candidate to transition to a minimum two (2) year Expat assignment in KSA after the potential TDY in Camden and Lufkin.

The Expat will be responsible for all Production Operations activities in KSA including infrastructure guidance and modifications, materials receiving and inventory set-up, tooling implementation, manufacturing data package transfer and skills training support.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Process improvement experience
Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Ability to build positive relationships with the customer
Manufacturing background
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
Understanding of Export Control Regulations
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
Desire to live in KSA for extended periods
Experience in the manufacturing processes of one or more LM-MFC Programs
Fabrication experience
Welding knowledge
Tooling experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
