The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) develops / performs analyses of manufacturing methods and processes, recommends changes to provide produce ability, reliability, improvement, and cost reduction. The ME designs and develops tools, and fixtures to improve product quality and delivery. Runs Kaizen events and coaches teams to sustain performance. Essential Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) develops / performs analyses of manufacturing methods and processes, recommends changes to provide produce ability, reliability, improvement, and cost reduction. The ME designs and develops tools, and fixtures to improve product quality and delivery. Runs Kaizen events and coaches teams to sustain performance.
- Create production routers, BOMs, and manufacturing control instructions
- Analyze various manufacturing problems, perform PFMEA and Gage R&R, and recommend/ implement solutions. Provide technical assistance necessary to solve production problems, tracks yields.
- Develop technical requirements and broad concepts of tools and testing as they relate to the functional product, develop manufacturing routers and instructions.
- Technical liaison with engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
- Respond to corrective actions and insure implementation into production. Participate in MRB activities. Cognizance of new manufacturing methods, materials, and processes. Provide solutions utilizing latest state of the art engineering developments and philosophies available.
- Collaborate in a team environment with Quality Engineer(s)/Product Engineer(s) to ensure all required product details are assured through process controls
- Engage with customers and suppliers regarding technical details and project status
- Other related duties as assigned.

- BS in technical discipline (IE, ME, EE, etc.) or equivalent, 4 – 6 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with VBLSS (Lean Six Sigma) process improvement tools and methodology.
- LEAN manufacturing experience required
- Excellent knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis tools and methodology.
- Knowledge of Pro-E CAD software, Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Electrical testing, tooling / fixture design and Electrical Connector experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to excel under pressure in a rewarding and demanding environment
- Experience in an MRP manufacturing environment is required (SAP preferred)
