The Mars Agency is currently seeking a Manager, Connected Commerce- Grocery to create impact from our Chicago,IL, or Tampa/Lakeland office helping our clients navigate the dynamic, fast-changing omni channel retail & retail media landscape. Candidates must have experience within the grocery channel; specific Regional Grocery experience (Albertsons, Ahold-Delhaize, Meijer, Publix, Wakefern, Etc.) is preferred.

This position is responsible for becoming a trusted advisor to our CPG clients by leveraging in-depth knowledge and strong relationships with retail media networks and vendors in the flawless execution of omni shopper marketing programs within the grocery channel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead retailer specific shopper marketing program execution. Including: creative development, timeline management, vendor engagement, financial management, internal and external communications, and measurement.
• Collaborate with the internal cross-functional team (Strategic Planning, Client Leadership and Creative) in the execution of key client programs
• Build strong working relationships with client contacts
• Partner with external client vendors/agencies to execute projects
• Approach and manage partnership relationships with other manufacturers or properties
• Identify retailer direct and manufacturer opportunities
• Manage client approval process
• Some travel required

SKILL SETS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field
• 5-7 years experience in retail marketing or experience in grocery retail
• Proven expert Project Management experience
• Strategic thinking in the development of Shopper Marketing programs and management of day-to-day business
• Sound decision making skills based in industry knowledge
• Passion about business – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned client/business
• Strong listening skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Desire to dig in and do what’s needed to get the job done right
