Job Description - Maintenance Supervisor
Storage Corner is seeking a motivated Maintenance Supervisor for immediate hire, to be based out of one of our Idaho self-storage locations. This person will be responsible for monitoring and training other maintenance staff to ensure the smooth running and upkeep of our properties.
An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable, resourceful and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various applicable crafts such as metalwork, general contracting, and commercial roll-up doors. The goal is to ensure that Storage Corner’s facilities are fully functional, in good and safe condition at all times.
Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.).
- Inspect and maintain building systems (Doors, metal exteriors etc.).
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Participate in coordination of projects with Property Manager/ Office Manager (e.g. renovations).
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (Framing, roll-up doors, metalwork etc.).
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent leadership abilities.
- An eye for detail.
- Computer savvy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus.
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
What does a Maintenance Supervisor do?
Maintenance Supervisors periodically inspect properties/sites to identify problems and necessary maintenance. They prepare weekly schedules for allocating work as per forecasted workloads and employ supervisors that can be assigned tasks accordingly to make sure deadlines are met with accuracy. They also ensure repairs are done quickly, minimizing long lead times before something needs replacing.

The Maintenance Supervisor receives priorities and reports to the Property Manager to ensure jobs are done to company standards. They are responsible for coordinating with the site manager to ensure all rentals are functional and ready to rent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
