Job Description for Machine Operators:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to set up and operate standard manual machine tools such as Milling Machines (vertical and horizontal), engine lathes, surface grinders.
• Experience with internal and external grinders, VTL or other metalworking machines desired.

Must be able to operate and set-up one or more of the following:

• CNC Grinders, CNC Milling Machines, CNC Lathe or any other CNC metal-working machine where CNC control knowledge may be directly applied to BELAC machine tools operation.
• Must be able to apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout machining procedures.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, sketches and description of parts to be worked on or replaced.
• Must be able to measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
• Must be able to verify dimensions and alignment with measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and gauge blocks.

Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certification a plus.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum lift floor to waist – 25 pounds
• Minimum lift waist to shoulder level – 25 pounds
• Minimum pull – 40 pounds
