Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with long-term care experience for a 13-week night shift contract in Sheboygan Falls, WI. The ideal candidate should be able to provide quality patient care, possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills, and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Address resident needs with respect and attention to safety
• Engage with residents in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
• Follow established care plans to assist residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Actively engage residents through conversation and companionship
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities
• Provide mobility assistance when required
• Transport or escort residents to meals and activities
• Document care provided
• Report any observed changes in a resident’s needs and/or condition immediately to a licensed nurse or manager as appropriate
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained
• Attend and participate in required training, conducted at the time of hire and/or annually, that will include training designed to assure resident safety, such as fire safety, missing resident, evacuations, disaster response, etc.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid WI CNA license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

Requirements:

• COVID-19 vaccination is required as per facility guidelines. Medical/religious exemptions will be considered.
• Must be available to work 5x8-hour night shifts, with weekend coverage every other weekend.
