Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, team collaborator to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator for our industry leading Lab Design & Furniture team. This is a hybrid role and the associate will report to the office 2-3 days a week.

Avantor is hiring! We are seeking a detail-oriented, team collaborator to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator for our industry leading Lab Design & Furniture team. This is a hybrid role and the associate will report to the office 2-3 days a week.


The Logistics Coordinator will work within the matrixed environment of sales representatives, vendors, design, estimating and installers, while coordinating receipt of customer purchase orders through obtaining approvals, timelines, and customer billing. You will oversee all product ordering, inventory tracking/shipment, and project progress, while keeping customer and sales team apprised of project status.

The team

Avantor’s Lab Furniture & Design team is responsible for delivering functional and versatile laboratories to our clients. This group works within the matrix of general sales representatives, supply partners, and customer service.


What we’re looking for

Education: High school diploma, required, Bachelors, preferred

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years project management/scheduling/coordination experience

Technical: Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working a complex/matrix environment

  • SAP experience

  • Project Management and ability to use case management platforms

Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
