Job Summary
Reviews delinquent files to determine overall collectability while protecting the Bank's principal. When deciding appropriate collection remedy for delinquent files, ensures actions taken adhere to established procedures, company policies and industry regulations. Encourages delinquent account holders to self-cure through proper technology channels. Assists team in training other collectors and in improving procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews delinquent files to determine overall collectability while protecting the Bank's principal.
- When deciding appropriate collection remedy for delinquent files, ensures actions taken adhere to established procedures, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Encourages delinquent account holders to self-cure through proper technology channels.
- Assists team in training other collectors and in improving procedures.
- Engages workout specialists timely for problem loans requiring loss mitigation and/or loan workout.
- Coordinates and executes letters and required forms.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience:
- 10+ years job related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research and financial analysis skills.
- Formal credit training preferred and experience in lending and loan workout.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively under adverse and hostile conditions.
- Strong presentation and communication skills both verbal and written and demonstrated ability to handle confidential material.
- Highly proficient with the PC, to include Internet, Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Financial Services industry experience
