We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in a methadone maintenance treatment setting as a dispensing nurse. Job requirements will include, but are not limited to, implementing physician's orders and order changes, dispensing methadone daily to clients suffering with opiate use disorder, monitoring medication management of clients, working with the treatment team to ensure quality of care to our client base, shipping methadone to outside agencies as needed, taking vitals, assessing the physical and emotional state of clients being treated at our facility, etc.

Requirements:

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing

Licensed in the state of Maryland as an RN or LPN

Prior experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment setting is preferred.

Must be able to type, learn computer based systems, and maintain electronic patient records

Must be reliable and flexible

Must have a clean criminal history record

Required Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of addiction, and related issues

Ability to assess client’s physical and emotional condition

Accuracy of record keeping, i.e. maintaining client charts, execution of physicians orders, and medication inventory

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work a diverse treatment team

Ability to problem solve and tend to client needs appropriately and safely in a fast paced working environment.

Hours:

4:45am to 12:30pm and occasionally to 1pm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
