Job description

The Leasing Agent acts as an initial contact between future tenants and the property management team. This individual is responsible for providing exceptional service to current and prospective tenants. This person must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of clients they are assisting and providing a solution that not only coincides with the goals of the community but is beneficial for all concerned parties.

Working hours are between the hours of 9AM to 5PM, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed for leasing opportunities (30-40 hours per week).

Primary Responsibilities

• Advertise available units and strategize pre-leasing efforts to avoid vacancies
• Create work orders as needed to prepare properties for leasing
• Take photos/videos of available properties
• Generate and follow up on leads for potential tenants
• Meet potential tenants, present properties and provided amenities in a positive light to secure rental agreements
• Collect applications with required documentation and fees
• Perform background and reference checks to assess if prospective tenants are qualified
• Prepare leasing documentation for tenants and obtain signatures
• Communicate effectively housing agencies, with Property Managers, and with Director of Operations and assist them as necessary
• Handle move-in procedures for new tenants
• Other responsibilities as needed

Additional Requirements

• Smartphone
• Employee will make use of their personal vehicle for work-related duties, therefore, they shall maintain a current driver's license and shall maintain appropriate insurance at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
