We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Permit Technician Supervisor to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You’ll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.
This is professional, technical administrative work in the coordination of the permit application review process relative to application intake, completeness, fee assessment, zoning review and issuance. in the Building Code Services Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- May include the coordination of Permit Technicians and other administrative personnel duties within the unit.
- May be required to assist in the calculation and collection of appropriate permit fees and invoicing.
- Assist in the coordination of work assignments, monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods, procedures and policies along with workload and resource allocation.
- Assists at permit counter as needed, greets customers and answers specific, detailed as well as general inquiries from the public (walk-in and telephone customers) regarding permit applications. Assist with the tracking and monitoring of permit applications and issuance to ensure expeditious permit application review and issuance.
- Implement quality control methods and procedures to keep errors to a minimum.
- Prepare and maintain management reports as necessary.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular Attendance and Punctuality is an essential requirement of the job.
