JOB DESCRIPTION:

Brockwell Technologies, Inc. (BTI) is seeking a Full Time Junior Tester to support our customer in Huntsville, AL. This is a hybrid work schedule and quarterly travel may be required.

Please note: the position does NOT involve software development

Responsibilities

The candidate will participate in evaluations of software components for conformance to the Open Group’s Future Airbourne Capability Environment (FACE) Verification Authority Technical Standard. The candidate will be responsible for assessing evidence to substantiate requirements verified by inspection and for performing automated analysis of requirements verified by test. The candidate will prepare summary findings and present them to the team for consensus, then prepares formal findings to deliver to the customer. Additional responsibilities include participation in various forums in support of the FACE Technical Standard and the FACE Conformance Program.

Hybrid Work Schedule

• Telework on Monday and Friday's
• Working onsite every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Redstone Arsenal is expected

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications listed below:

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Expected to take ownership of tasks assigned and work independently, escalating issues promptly to continue progress
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented; works well in process-driven tasks
• Understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., requirements, design, test) and typical DoD artifacts (e.g., SRS, SDD, STP/STD/STR)
• Understanding of C/C++ compilation principles (e.g., header and source files, object files, libraries, executables, compiling and linking)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with the FACE Technical Standard
• Experience creating and using virtual machines deploying Linux distributions
• Experience using Linux
• Experience in software development, test, or quality assurance
• Experience with Java and/or Ada software development
• Understanding configuration management principles (e.g., configuration identification, version control)

Minimum Experience

This position is a junior level position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field

Security Clearance

• This position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance government security clearance as a condition for placement and continued employment. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
