The Opportunity

We're looking for an IR Technologist, working in the Healthcare Systems & Services industry in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

• Assumes responsibility for assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures on patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric.
• Adheres to facility policy and procedures in assessing, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the diagnostic services provided.
• Performs technical patient care and daily functions of the IR/SP scope of practice.
• Assists in the Cath Lab and associated areas as assigned by the department Charge RN and/or the department Director including but not limited to stress testing, Cath Lab, PICC Insertion.
• Provides health care services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
• Assists the Radiologist during all Intervention Radiology / Special Procedures cases.

Experience Required for Your Success

• 2 years in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) ORRegistered by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
• Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support
• ACLS certification within one (1) year of hire
• RCIS Registry OR ARRT Registry (RT must complete VI or CI credential within one (1) year of hire)
• Knowledge of sterile technique preferred
  
• Demonstrated experience in establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote a positive and effective working environment
• Demonstrates documented competence specific to Special Procedures for at least two years as a radiographer
