The IPDE (TA) Program Representative will provide support to the VPM, CLB, and SSN(X) Technical Authority team, which includes managing and working initiatives to further develop and enhance Electric Boat’s capabilities to successfully deliver design disclosure information internally to downstream stakeholders inMaterials, Planning, Operations/Deckplate,as well as externally to SUPSHIP and NAVSEA stakeholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the TA Core Team in working on initiatives brought from across the business to enhance the TA disclosure development and delivery process
• Work with the Digital Initiative team on development of ourModel Based Definition:
• Define geometry standards, metadata architecture for design models, define reporting, define the model based deliverable products and exchange requirements with government systems. Define integration across the Digital Thread
• Work with the Digital Initiative team on development of Advanced Design capabilities:
• Evaluate advanced design capabilities such as generative design, smart diagramming, electrical design products, design automations and process changes and provide recommendations for future development & implementation
• Assist in running the TA Core Team to help provide resolution to issues raised by the TA Discipline Leads as well as downstream functional areas.
• Assist with metric reporting and targeting metric improvement areas based on implemented process/tool changes
• Testing of new software capabilities and status ITCRs and Tasks to closure
• Supporting & coordinating business case development for new TA IPDE tasking improvements
• Support mapping and updating procedures to support process improvements and/or software changes for the CLB and VA VPM Change process

Required:

• B.S. Degree or higher in Engineering, Business or Information Technology

Preferred:

• Demonstrated Facilitation Skills
• Demonstrated Project Management Skills
• Experience in Model Based Delivery of design information
• Innovative and persistent personality

To be successful in this position the applicant should have:

• Facilitation Skills: To lead brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and cross discipline discussions on different TA initiatives
• Project Management Skills: Managing action execution to established dates and schedules, identifying and mitigating risk, and estimating and scheduling new task development
• Ability to develop effective relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Basic understanding of IPDE processes & tools with knowledge of the Technical Authority development process from concept development through disclosure delivery.
