Key Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable working in both metric and standard measures
  • Ability to handle 30+ lbs of materials in large, odd shapes throughout the work day
  • Strong experience in material management environments with ability to demonstrate both administrative and hands on expertise
  • Contribute to and manage performance to budget by tracking and understanding expenditures, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions
  • Thrives in a rapid pace environment with many timelines and changing requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical
  • Ability to meet or exceed performance goals for team; Inventory levels, turn time, quality, audit compliance and customer service
  • Ability to handle and move large or odd material shapes to and from the cutting area (mechanical or personnel assistance available as needed for safety)

Description

This position is a key enabler of manufacturing efficiency and must posses the drive, initiative, and ability to work independently with attention to detail and exceptional customer service. This position must reliably manage all aspects of inventory management. This includes administrative tasks such as purchasing, stock management, and auditing as well as physical handling tasks such as cutting, preparing, and delivering stock for use throughout the shop. The Inventory Planner will work across functional boundaries with administrative expertise. They must have the ability to prioritize and execute shop floor cut orders and inventory order management. The goals for this position includes accelerating efficiency through waste reduction and strong process ownership while maintaining respect and trust with both internal and external customers. Handling manufacturing materials and using industrial equipment for measuring, cutting and preparing materials is a core responsibility.

Education & Experience

AA/AS degree or BA/BS plus 1-2 years of experience in a customer service/support environment, or equivalent experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $104,000 and $156,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
