Major Responsibilities:
The Internal Reporting Associate will act as data steward for Sales Reporting data, ensuring accuracy and consistency for millions of rows of data per day / month.
- Actively participate in Client Data Management Program that seeks to implement business processes and supporting technology that crafts a consolidated and trustworthy foundation of client data across the organization.
- Ensure work performed according to policies and practices as established through data governance.
- Adhere to business driven data validation rules. Perform daily and monthly data audits to ensure gold copy standards..
- Detect, accurate / increase data exceptions with appropriate groups.
- Test system enhancements and updates based on project objective with guidance from team members..
Design, build, and deliver sales reporting and analysis
Based on identified needs, analyze database information in response to analysis and report requests. Identify and implement appropriate design and analysis to help business clients in their decision making.
- Manage relationships with data consumers
- Produce sales reporting / AUM reports with accurate analysis based on business requests.
- Anticipate data consumer needs and provide appropriate reporting/analysis.
- Understand data structure and business criteria.
- Work independently and provide support to others in the organization.
- Proficient in more sophisticated functions and calculations. Ability to provide data visualization (graphs, charts) vs. reporting numbers.
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Ability to learn relational database concepts, data structures and SQL / query techniques.
- Proficiency in more sophisticated calculations and reporting functions.
- Desire to learn about the business and industry.
- Ability to listen and transform business partner requests into concrete analysis & reports
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner.
- Self-starter, ability to take initiative, find opportunities.
- Desire and ability to innovate new processes and systems for efficiency and quality.
- Customer service orientation. Ability to form relationships with data consumers to ensure high quality of service and customer happiness.
Preferred:
- Graduate Degree or Certifications
- Experience with AWS including Athena, Redshift, S3 and QuickSight
- Proficient in reporting automation, using tools like Tableau, dBeaver and Python
- Knowledge of American Century Investments’ products, distribution channels, and information technology systems or willingness to complete the appropriate training.
- Data governance ownership or stewardship experience.
