Your Job Purpose:

As an Instrument and Calibration Technician working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Semiconductor sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Hillsboro, Oregon.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and repairing a variety of electronic, mechanical, and analytical equipment in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Your Job Description:

  • Work in both the field and calibration lab on the calibrations, adjustments, and repairs on a wide range of equipment including but not limited to analytical instruments, control valves, pressure gauges, flow, pressure and level transmitters and temperature sensors.
  • Conduct in-field commissioning and acceptance activities on a wide range of instruments, such as, pressure, temperature, level, & flow transmitters, control valves, gauges, switches & analytical controls.
  • Review the installation of newly installed instruments to ensure the install adheres to the customers specifications and the manufacturers requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration and maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate with facilities teams to schedule equipment downtime and minimize impact on manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, including identifying opportunities to optimize calibration procedures and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to safety guidelines, and report any safety hazards or incidents to management.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a calibration or instrumentation technician role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of calibration procedures, instrumentation, and control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
