Summary : An innkeeper is a motivated, outgoing, professional, customer service-oriented and energetic individual. Since the guest's first impression is key, the innkeeper must always graciously greet and welcome guests when they arrive at the hotel. The innkeeper provides concierge services such as dinner and activity recommendations. Innkeeper provide exceptional guest experiences to gain 5 star reviews. The innkeeper maintains the front desk including operating systems for reservations, valet and guest check in/out in in accordance with our Company values for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, safety and security.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Is the model and example for maintaining a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented demeanor in all interactions with guests and hotel staff.
- Keeps open communication between management, housekeeping and fellow innkeepers
- Responsible for supervising the operation of the hotel's front desk, responding to and resolving guest complaints and concerns.
- Maintains the front desk operating systems and telephones for reservations, cancellations, modifications and guest questions.
- Process guest registrations, including the computation and collection of payment
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, reservations, attractions, directions, etc
- Send and receive telephone calls and emails; sort incoming mails and messages
- Light housekeeping-taking out trash, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping, water plants, etc
- Breakfast service- guests, refreshing drinks, making coffee, etc
- Work to gain 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor and Google
- Maintain security and safety practices of hotel
- Is able to keep a proactive view of issues within the property, be attentive in arriving at a solution before the disruption of the hotel functions occurs
- Receives concerns and issues from the hotel guests and staff in an attentive, professionally focused manner
- The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list; additional tasks may be assigned at any given time. The scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands
Qualifications :
Minimum Experience, Skill & Physical Requirements :
- Previous hotel experience is preferred but not required; must be personable and friendly
- Must be flexible in hours, days and shifts worked, including holidays
- Must be proficient in the use of common Windows- based programs, including Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Must have sound judgement and discretional skills and be able to work with minimal supervision
- Prioritize multiple competing tasks
