OHFA offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development and management of affordable housing. The Agency's programs serve first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens & other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing. The Office of Human Resources provides programs that enable customers to operate efficiently, regularly conducts & updates a thorough analysis of human capital needs, acquires the employees needed to fulfill the Agency mission, retains a skilled workforce, manages workforce performance programs effectively & maximizes the potential of employees through increased training & professional development.

The Human Resources Office is looking for a team member to lead our efforts in policy administration, professional growth, training, diversity, equity & inclusion. This position is instrumental in fulfilling our commitment to recruit and retain a workforce that reflects the diversity, equity and inclusion of OHFA. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position will support efforts to ensure that OHFA’s workplace and employment-related decisions are free of bias, harassment, and discrimination. This position will require vision, strategic thinking, and operational skills to set goals and take action in all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This position will also play an integral role in facilitating and executing employee development programs and training courses by combining creativity, research and analysis. This position will work with managers and employees to identify training needs to enhance the competencies of individuals, building annual training plans and training requirements.

This position will also be responsible in creating, maintaining, and implementing HR policies and procedures. As a team member of Human Resource Office, this position will also support other human resources programs such as talent requisition & retention, performance management and payroll/benefits.

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in OHFA's Teleworking Policy. Currently, employees participating in the Teleworking Policy are required to come into the office two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week.

Qualifications


To be considered for the position, applicants must demonstrate the following preferred qualifications on their application:

  • Undergraduate core in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration; AND 1 year experience in Human Resources with 6 months experience in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/ American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • OR 3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • OR 36 months training or 36 months experience in interviewing.
  • OR 36 months training or 36 months experience in EEO & affirmative action planning regulations & procedures.
