Position: HR Generalist
Supervisor: Director of Accounting & Director of HR
Job Description: The Human Resource Generalist will assist the Director of Human Resourses and Director of Accounting with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) and Accounting departments including hiring and interviewing staff, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire onboarding process and orientation.
- Assist with various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), ESOP and wellness benefits.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Assists with the open enrollment process. Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all benefits and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.

Pay: $43,776.75 - $81,651.14 per year
