Supporting our skilled Linguists, Metlang has an outstanding Human Resources Department comprised of committed individuals who are passionate about placing and retaining the best professionals in our Linguist roles. The HR Assistant position offers $35,000 annually, major medical insurance, 401(k) retirement account, 5 sick days (or as per local requirements), 10 paid vacation days, and 11 paid federal holidays. This is a full-time remote position. Qualified candidates must reside within the US.
General Job Function
Assist with general day-to-day Human Resources process administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of duties, which include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with employee onboarding including: HRIS account creation, issue onboarding forms, verify documents, provide new hire information to all necessary departments, answer new hire questions, reporting, and other related tasks as needed.
- Assist with benefits administration, to include reporting, issuing benefits offers, answering employee questions, and other related tasks as needed.
- Respond to general employee inquiries and refer complex questions to appropriate senior staff.
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation claims processing.
- Respond to VOE requests.
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
- Prepare reports/status updates as requested.
- Distribute holiday memos.
- Create and distribute recognition packets.
- Assist with offboarding processes.
- General clerical support to the Human Resources department.
- Assist with survey creation and analysis.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provide support to other staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience
- Some college education
- Prior related office experience

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Human Resources Assistant position.
