REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager
SALARY: Grade 3
Range Start: $15.50/hourly
Range End: $22.96/hourly
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
SUPERVISES: None
JOB SUMMARY: This team member is responsible for accepting and taking reservations for assigned dining areas, greets and escorts guests to their tables with menus, and advises the server of the party being seated and any needs they may have
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:
- Assigns server stations in rotation of shifts daily and fairly
- Answers phone calls within appropriate timeframes
- Seats guests in an orderly fashion to provide flow of service for dining areas
- Communicates with guests in a pleasant and cheerful manner
- Keeps waiting list accurate
- Keeps host station organized at all times
- Ensures table seating’s are correct
- Keeps up with dining room sanitation levels to ensure cleanliness and makes corrections as needed
- Attends to host station as needed
- Takes reservations from guests, including dates, times, number of party, or any reservation special request
- Follows opening and closing check list, side station duties, and any posted list of duties
- Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino
- Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program
- Other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is preferred
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:
- This individual must have strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the Resort & Casino
- Knowledge of proper table settings, service ware and menu items is required
- The ability to remember, recite and promote menu items and special promotions is required
- Prior hospitality experience is preferred
- Food Handler card is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Continuously stands
- Frequently walks and climbs
- Occasionally bends/stoops, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, balances, and squats
- Occasionally lifts/carries up to twenty five (25) pounds is required
- Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required
- A sufficient level dexterity of the hands, in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone, is required
- The ability to transport trays of beverages and/or food items through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift is required

- This individual must be able to meet the suitability requirements of the Redding Rancheria’s Gaming Agency to obtain a gaming license
