*Banner Elk Cafe in Banner Elk, NC is looking for one host/hostess to join our 79 person strong team. We are located on 324 Shawneehaw Ave S. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable. *Availability: Must be able to work during peak business : Weekends and Holidays excluding (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

Responsibilities

*Answering the phones and place take out orders, put take out orders together making change and cash them out (usually tipped on take-out) *Greeting customers and making them feel welcome letting them know where to go while waiting on table *use Ipad for wait list and Estimating wait time for guests *Seating guests in an organized manner keeping up with rotation to ensure best customer service *Keeping front area clean and sanitize menus *occasionally checking on customers & refilling drinks.

*Friendly and outgoing personality *Ability to listen and communicate effectively *Strong organizational and motivational skills
