The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of HIV Prevention Supervisor for our East Central Health District.

Supervises and plans work for assigned staff.
Assessment individual and community needs for health education.
Conduct community surveys to ascertain health needs, develop desirable health goals, and determine available of professional health services.
Ensure the provision of follow-up services for testing recipients in the form of risk reduction counseling, PrEP screening, confirmatory testing, linkage and referral, disclosure of test results. Work closely with community partners to maximize screening and recruitment for prevention services.
Deliver outreach services where priority population(s) may gather; this includes preparation and distribution of educational materials, promotional, safes sex materials.
Prepare monthly progress reports.
May work after hours and weekend, depending on scheduled events.
Must maintain a valid driver license.
Travel is required to attend events and training
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health Education and one year of public health education experience at a level equivalent to a lead worker level OR Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral or biological sciences or a direct relation field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in public health education, one year of which was at a lead level OR one year of experience at the lower level Health Educator 3 or equivalent position. Certified Phlebotomy.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervise, guides, and/or instructs that work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises a comprehensive program of patient or community health education. Supervises a team of health educators responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education services
Knowledge of HIV / AIDS

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
