Gymnastics Instructor (PT) 2023

JCC Chicago is now hiring an outstanding Gymnastics Instructor who will guide children ages 4-16 as they improve coordination, strength and flexibility in beginner through advanced level gymnastics classes. We are looking for this person to start September 4th, 2023.

Key areas of responsibility:

· Supervise children by sight and sound.

· Stand for long periods of time and be able to run and actively engage with children.

· React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.

· Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time.

· Lift/move materials, equipment or bins up to 50 lbs.

· Use hands for grasping equipment and class material.

· Develop and implement curriculum for the gymnastics program.

· Comfortable working with parents regarding feedback.

Days/Hours:

Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm-9:00pm (Bernard Horwich JCC) possibility for hours on Sundays.

Compensation:

$45-$58/hour based on experience

Requirements:

· Have experience participating in or coaching gymnastics/dance

· Have experience supervising children

· Must be able to communicate with management

· Strong oral communication skills

· Must be able to problem solve quickly and effectively

· Ability to work independently yet have the ability and enthusiasm for fostering a strong team environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $58.00 per hour
