Summary:
Directs and handles all aspects of daily operations and overall strategy of retail services across MHS to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Detailed responsibilities:
  • Manages the buying of all merchandise to promote sales and marketing. Develops and directs monthly sales plan inclusive of store sales goals. Directs quarterly strategies to meet sales targets and plans promotions to attract business.
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
  • Determines specific standard and non-standard items to be stocked and orders items from selected distributors. Directs the receipt, storage, and inventory of all merchandise. Establishes and supervises stock control procedures. Monitors the selection of vendors and vendor contract performance. Oversees the necessary paperwork for the vetting of new vendors. Approves all vendor invoices and is the liaison with Accounts Payable.
  • Assists with preparing and monitoring the retail services budget. Oversees cash handling and reconciliation of retail associates.
  • Designs and directs the setup of stock displays that reflect seasonal, category, and population-specific interests and trends.
  • Ensures stores are meeting regulatory compliance.
