SUMMER JOB PLACING COLD TOWELS ON GERIATRIC POT BELLIED PIGS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

We have over 650 pot-bellied pigs, including 125 seniors needing extra care and pigs that don't thrive in the hotter temperatures of the desert. Tasks Include: Providing hands-on care for the geriatric and special needs pigs, by placing cool towels over their backs/necks, helping them to stay cooler.

REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATE:

* You must have your own reliable vehicle to get to work.

* You must be punctual and reliable and rarely miss work.

* You must be a fast learner and work well with others.

* Must be able to work 4 - 5 days a week/8 hours a day in any temperature or weather condition.

* Must be able to work at least one weekend day and possibly holidays.

* Must be able to endure standing and squatting consistently, as this position requires it.

* Must be willing to work directly with pigs and feel comfortable with them.

* Must be able to work the required shift: 10AM - 6PM. The day is 8 hours long and includes a 30 minute paid lunch break and a 15 minute paid break. (The initial work day will be from 6A-2P until you are working specifically on toweling - this is flexible thru training)

* No experience necessary, we will train the right person.

Starting pay is $15 an hour and this position is temporary through the end of summer (Usually ending Sept time frame). There may be permanent positions available at the end of this temporary assignment but it is based on work performance and not guaranteed.
