THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role within the BRCC Finance team with a focus on Supply Chain & Manufacturing operations. The Manager will report directly to the Director of FP&A and work side-by-side with BRCC’s Supply Chain & Operations leadership. This role will lead the agenda for financial analysis & forecasting, KPI reporting and process improvement, while also providing support to the Accounting team to ensure the financial reporting and controls for Cost of Goods Sold are established with sustainable growth in mind. This is a “hands-on” new role to support the rapid growth trajectory of the Company and a fast-growing Operations division within BRCC. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the CPG industry and is comfortable working autonomously in fast-paced environment.
YOUR TASKS
- Play a strategic role in developing Annual Operating Plan for COGS, Logistics and Fulfillment
- Help drive improvements to margins by effectively managing COGS and inventory
- Assist with standard costing process and capitalizing variances
- Help drive transparency to product COGS, shipping, and fulfillment cost.
- Improve monthly forecasting accuracy and proactively identify & predict trends that impact Gross Margin
- Develop reporting & analytics to provide insights for internal monthly reviews and quarterly external earnings reports
- Support Manufacturing Operations with Standard Cost reviews and efficiency metrics
- Develop KPI metrics using data platforms such as NetSuite and/or Transportation & Warehouse Management Systems
- Develop and steward CAPEX Budgets and help Operations team identify strategic investment initiatives
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in FP&A or finance-related roles
- 3+ years’ recent experience in a CPG environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowePoint)
- Understanding of COGS, standard costing, inventory, shipping, and margins
- Proven ability to work cross functionally and under tight deadlines
- Experience with NetSuite or ERP implementations is a plus
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- US Military Veteran is a plus
