Description: Lead system integration and test activities of the Avionics System in support of X-59 Quiet Supersonic Technology X-plane
Manage support contracts with sub-tier suppliers
Develop and maintain System Check Out procedures and support avionics system test efforts
Verify compliance with Avionics system requirements and criteria though use of analysis and test data
Support flight test plan development
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering degree or related equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and integration functions which may include:
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e.) Design reviews
- Ability and desire to obtain a Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Hands on experience with aircraft development, integration, and test
Experience defining and documenting system requirements
Experience coordinating with multiple engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)
- Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
Familiarity with integration and operations of air vehicle avionics and associated systems including:
- Vehicle Management System Computers
- Guidance, Navigation and Control systems
- Pilot Vehicle Interface systems
- Built-in Test and fault detection
- Network/bus technologies and interfaces (Ethernet, 1553, etc)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, having ability to collaborate, organize, motivate and lead a group of diverse personnel that includes customers, partners and suppliers
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
