Job description
The Finishing Electroplating process designed to clean and plate metals.to protect it from the environment and increase conductivity. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify parts from blueprints to verify that they are properly tagged.
- Have the ability to use simple material handling equipment such as powered walking stackers, storage trucks and pallet trucks.
- Ability to navigate through a tablet.
- Have the ability to learn proper racking techniques.
- Racking of parts weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Have the ability to follow instructions to complete preventative maintenance tasks.
- Reacting to system alarms.
- Inspection of parts both visually and manually using thickness tester.
- The work in this area is physically demanding and requires the ability to sustain a continuous work pace for extended periods.
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
- A working knowledge of shop math.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.
MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
- Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
- Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
- Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
- Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
- Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
- Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
