Motivate is seeking Field Technicians (Field Operations Specialists) to train and then flex across several hourly positions in various operational roles for Washington DC’s bikeshare system. The roles can include bike mechanic, docking station technician, and driver to swap batteries, transport bikes, and recover bikes throughout the system.

About the Role

• Train and then flex to proficiently perform various operational roles in a productive and safety-focused manner
• Accurately and efficiently record duties on mobile device applications
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch and work effectively with various teams
• Provide customer service to bikeshare members and the general public while working in field-based roles
• Provide information and suggestions for improvements

About You

• You are teachable and excited to learn different job skills, enjoying variety You are able to adapt to new things, problem-solve, and make decisions without the direct supervisor always present
• You work well with others, communicate effectively, and can assist the general public when needed
• You have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to meet our motor vehicle record requirements
• You are willing to work both in a warehouse environment, as well as outdoors in an urban environment, and in a variety of weather conditions
• You can lift to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods; ability to bike for extended periods
