They have an immediate opening for a technologically inclined individual to join their team as a Shop & Field Technician to assemble, configure, install, and commission geotechnical and/or structural monitoring systems, as well as manage day-to-day schedules and inventory documentation. The Field Technician will be expected to travel to various sites and locations across the United States as needed. This is an entry-level position with only a High School Diploma, valid driver’s license, and basic skills/willingness to learn required for consideration. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for anyone qualified who is interested in traveling often and learning all there is to learn about the Geotechnical Engineering industry.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, configure, install, and commission geotechnical and/or structural monitoring systems
- Manage day-to-day schedules and inventory documentation
- Travel and perform additional duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma & Valid Driver’s License
- Ability and willingness to travel nationwide for varied periods of time, with occasional night/weekend availability
- Technologically inclined with strong computer/organizational skills and ability to learn new systems/equipment as needed
- Team-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills who is adept in “creating order out of chaos”
- Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Basic knowledge/experience in 1-2 of the following with interest and desire to add more skills:
- Fabrication/Welding
- Basic Programming/Industrial Maintenance
- CNC Programming/Commercial Construction
- Wireless Devices/Survey Equipment/Telemetry/Field Instrumentation
- Experience working with Scripting Languages such as Javascript and/or Python
- Low-Voltage Electrical for Instruments and Loggers
- Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Systems experience
