TITLE: Field Service Engineer
TYPE: Direct Hire
LOCATION: Langhorne, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite + 55% travel
START DATE: March/ April 2023

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who will provide operator and maintenance personnel training, on-site supervision of equipment installation and start-up, equipment repair, equipment inspection and evaluation, and troubleshooting. Also, must provide direction for maintenance and equipment operation. Travel is a requirement both domestically and internationally, typically during the week.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a technical subject matter expert with regards to a variety of issues that can occur with the products you are supporting
• Providing technical inspection and assistance for the setup of recently commissioned machines on site with customers.
• Prioritize incoming customer inquiries with internal projects and ensure that you are spending your time in an efficient way.
• Provide technical expertise to assist in estimating the total cost for new jobs.
• Organize distributor/customer paid service calls with estimations of expense costs and
• Travel to customer locations (up to 55% of the time) to give technical assistance as needed.
• Responsible to coordinating own travel reservations domestic or foreign; hotels, airlines, visa, auto rentals, etc. for any service calls.
• Complete the proper reporting as required
• Complete technical assessments of new and current components and give suggestions for modifications, continued use, or to determine if the component is not acceptable for usage.
• During company or off site Distributor Training Seminars, give various technical topics dealing with routine operation, installation, repairs, maintenance, etc. of our company systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have exceptional electrical and mechanical training
• Several years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery
• Must have an understanding of PLC troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of pneumatic controls, wiring, and interprets drawings.
• Should have basic computer skills, Windows and similar office setting software.
• Must communicate professionally and be comfortable in a client-facing role
• Must have your own tools
