Auto Technician Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced qualified auto technician who can provide our customers with excellent service. Making sure their vehicles operate perfectly and remain safe at all times is the number one priority that drives us.

Westside Motors is a Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership that provides continued education through our Stellantis training program. Whether you are currently with a competitive make dealership, independent shop or new to the industry, we will train you on Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. Our service Manager and Service Advisor have a combined 60 years of experience in the Automotive Industry and provide on the job training as well.

Our benefits include weekends off, $100 a month tool allowance, paid time off, paid holidays, medical, profit sharing, and 401k match up to 4%. We will have an air conditioned shop coming summer of 2022 and are equipped with a state of the art Hunter Alignment machine.

Our hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We offer flexible break times of 30 minutes in the morning, a 30 minute lunch and a 30 minute afternoon break. Come join our small town atmosphere and family oriented dealership.

Communicating with our customers in a professional and friendly manner is also a must for outstanding customer experience. Our auto technician must have a positive disposition that makes our customers come back again in their time of need.

Responsibilities of an Auto Technician:

• Performing maintenance tasks on customer vehicles
• Properly using the diagnostic equipment to inspect customer vehicles
• Identifying vehicle problems
• Testing vehicles and parts to ensure they function perfectly and are safe
• Repairing customer vehicles and replacing parts
• Maintaining repair shop equipment
• Maintaining vehicle records
• Keeping the shop clean, supplied, and well-organized

Auto Technician Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• An ASE certificate is a plus
• Auto mechanic training
• Experience as an auto technician
• A valid driver's license
• Familiarity with the diagnostic equipment
• Ability to maintain accurate vehicle records
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good time-management and safety-management skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Professional appearance
• Friendly disposition
