Event Coordinator (Part-Time, Internship)
Smedley Events is currently accepting applications to join our team through our meaningfully engaged internship program. Our Event Coordinator will become an integral part of the success of our events while simultaneously developing the skills and knowledge to continue on their career journey.
Smedley Events is a full-service event production, experiential marketing and fundraising agency with the goal of bringing communities together through unforgettable experiences. We work with a variety of clients in the technology, restaurant and non-profit sectors, conference and meeting industry, as well as the sports and entertainment space. Beyond client work, Smedley Events produces its own events centered around purposeful conversation and community building, including the Sunset Dinner Experience and the Better Together Dinner Series.
The Event Coordinator will support the strategic development and execution of events produced by Smedley Events. The main responsibilities of the Event Coordinator include:
- Assist with the execution of events including conferences, meetings, workshops, festivals, nonprofit fundraisers, etc.
- Identify and solicit sponsorships for various events
- Research, maintain, and grow Smedley Events vendor, partner, and sponsor relationships
- Maintain and coordinate event production checklists
- Assist with on-site set up, coordination and tear down
- Coordinate post-event wrap ups and analysis
Internship Requirements
- General knowledge and experience with basic computer programs including email platforms, Google Suite and Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to events across Colorado when necessary
- Interest in pursuing a career in events and marketing
Compensation - $17/hour with up to 10 hours per week
