Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The Company services the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, from Maryland to Florida with over 100 employees.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to a Regional Manager, this is a field-based position focused on the smooth and profitable execution of work in the field. Responsibilities of this position are broad and may include:

• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Mini-excavator, skid steer, large excavator, hydraulic dredge, slope mowers, hand tools, etc.
• Perform manual labor tasks with hand tools as needed
• Prepare the construction site each day by organizing and coordinating needed materials, tools, and equipment
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Complete repairs on ponds, lakes and other stormwater control measures, including: excavation, grading, dredging, erosion repairs, pipe installation, SCM conversion, turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment or removal, etc.
• Communicate effecoworkers and lead byctively with supervisor to ensure successful job completion
• Monitor site activities of example to encourage maximum productivity and safe work practices
• Read and understand engineering, survey, and grading plans
• Shoot grades in the field to ensure site is built as designed

Underpinnings of Success

• Background and experience in landscaping, grading, excavation, erosion control, stormwater control measure maintenance and repair
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions on difficult and uneven terrain, both on and off heavy equipment
• Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 40 pounds and, at times, as much as 80 pounds, as may be assigned
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required
• Great communication skills and ability to lead others in the field
• Able to adapt and/or improvise quickly, as demanded by conditions or unknown factors
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Safety oriented
