Job Summary

Maysville Community and Technical College is currently seeking a full time, 10-month term contract faculty position at the Licking Valley Campus for an:

ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR

Remote Work
MCTC is committed to providing a flexible work schedule for its employees as an additional benefit of employment.
Faculty will maintain 25 hours on campus four days a week including class time and can work remotely the remainder of the work week.

Job Duties:

• Plans and carries out instruction and instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special study.
• Provides instructions to students in the discipline of English.
• Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students' attainment and progress.
• Keeps abreast of changes in the field and keeps courses updated.
• Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise.
• Provides follow-up services to assist in student placement, improved courses of instruction, and promotes public relations.
• The instructor will be responsible for classroom lectures and assisting students.
• Additional duties will include academic advising, committee work, and internal and external service.

Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours beyond degree requirements with an English prefix is a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using Blackboard or similar LMS (Learning Management System) is recommended.
