Job Duties

This position contains embedded C, C++ and Python software responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: design, development, debugging, testing, releasing, and documentation. The position will also be responsible for assisting developers across different departments. The assistance can range from training on standard work procedures to troubleshooting production problems. The position will also require analysis work to determine the best methods for optimizing CPU and memory utilization. The software under development includes PC tools, embedded software on machines and manufacturing use. The embedded software also contains requirements on functional safety and the AUTOSAR standard. The person in this position is expected to learn and understand these standards, explain them to others and apply them to the development process.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science plus 8 or more years of experience or MS Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science plus 6 or more years of experience

Experience with RTOS systems, functional safety requirements, software debuggers (Lauderbach/GDB) and data acquisition tools (Vector Canape, Vector Canalyzer, Wireshark)

Experience with software test tools, such as GoogleTest and PyTest

Experience with software archiving systems, such as Git

Experience with datalinks, such as CAN and Ethernet

Experience with embedded C and python

Requires a self-starter with strong technical leadership skills

Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.

Experience with C++

Experience with object-oriented design

Experience with wxPython

Experience with Virtual Product Development process/tools

Experience with on machine, hardware in the loop and software in the loop methods of verification/validation of software

Experience of the AUTOSAR standard and AUTOSAR tools (Vector DaVinci Configurator Pro and Dassault AUTOSAR Builder)

The location for this position is Mossville, IL

Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

10% travel is required for this role
