Job Overview
Provide emergency maintenance support for all campuses (excluding Blue Ash and Clermont College).
Essential Functions
- Monitor alarms and respond to emergency maintenance calls from dispatch, including emergency elevator calls.
- Act as lead worker for all trades as required on emergency calls.
- Diagnose nature of emergency and develop a quick solution in order to mitigate damages.
- Conduct on the job training.
- Keep abreast of campus buildings and systems.
- Maintain documentation to support emergency maintenance operations (e.g., location of equipment logs, areas served, call-in numbers, etc.).
- Work in collaboration with alarm techs and Cincinnati Fire Departments on fire alarms.
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with non-emergency maintenance calls.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
Approved certificate from an accredited related apprenticeship program
Six (6) years of related work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement
Required Trainings/Certifications
Valid driver's license with acceptable record
Required Experience
Four (4) years of related work experience following the apprenticeship program, including one year supervisory experience
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Work evenings, weekends and holidays. Work outside in all weather conditions. Work with and near potentially dangerous equipment (may be exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, high voltage, and high pressure steam).
Shift: Varies Starting Pay Rate: $30.25 per hour Post Probationary Rate: $31.76 per hour
