Job description
Trebor International, a leading manufacturer in high purity chemical pumps is seeking a career minded, self-driven and experienced Electromechanical Technician III.
SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, performs repetitive assembly and testing operations on heater, upgrade kits, modules, Teflon cells, refurbish heater systems, and sub-assemblies.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform assembly operations, electromechanical assembly and testing operations on heater systems, upgrade kits, heater modules, refurbish heater systems, and sub-assemblies following standard work instructions in an ISO 9001 environment.
- Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required.
- Tests and troubleshoots heater systems and modules, using written or electronic test specifications.
- Rework faulty systems or module assemblies, replacing parts if necessary.
- Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required.
- Perform set-ups for test stands, assembly fixtures, and other test equipment.
- Perform 480V electrical testing on heater systems
- Troubleshoot 480V electrical system errors and testing failures
- Effectively communicate with peers and management both verbally and in writing
- Champion 5S activities and projects focused on product line cell ownership.
- Regularly audit and redline standard work instructions as part of cell ownership and continuous improvement.
- Effectively train other team members on product lines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Job Functions
- Transports parts to be tested and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework.
- Prepare and crate heater systems for shipment.
- Determines product rejects for rework Properly document and handle material scrap following documented procedure.
- Participates in organizing statistical quality control.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions
- Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, write by hand, basic computer skills, and operate simple hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure.
- Visual acuity needed for close detail work, computer use, reading and interpreting assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
Job Conditions
- General manufacturing environment.
- Minimal Chemical PPE in some areas.
- May require working with hazardous substances such as but not limited to Acids, Bases, Acetone and Isopropyl Alcohol.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent advanced technical certifications required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing setting and/or mechanical assembly; or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Read and fully understand written standard work instructions, product drawings, and diagrams.
- Effectively communicate with peers and management, verbally and in writing.
- Possess problem-solving ability to identify issues and ensure functionality and overall quality.
