Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated
Journeyman Industrial Electrician to join its team at its facility in Woodland, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America.
Our state-of-the-art tomato production facility uses advanced technology to process whole tomatoes into various products such as diced, crushed, stewed, sauces, and paste. The facility features a number of advanced technologies that are designed to enhance the quality of the products. For example, a cutting-edge sorting system ensures only the highest quality tomatoes are used. We are committed to sustainability, using a closed-loop water system and renewable energy sources like solar power to minimize our carbon footprint. The Woodland facility is a prime example of Pacific Coast Producers' dedication to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Pay Rate: $35.42 per hour. Full time/40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed. These positions are part of a seniority based collective bargaining unit and require work on various shifts with potential for a great deal of overtime during the processing season.
Primary job duties would include:
- Performing maintenance, wiring, installation of motors, switches, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, testing and power circuits.
- Install, connect, adjust and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments.
- Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on specs and codes.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, or test lamps.
- Possess demonstrable skills for specifying and properly sizing of wire, conduit, circuit breakers and fuses per NEC and other applicable codes.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components.
- Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Satisfactorily completed a related educational degree, certificate, or program; and/or
- Comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area; and
- A fundamental aptitude, which may be assessed by a practical exam.
- Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.
- AutoCAD experience for creating electrical drawings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and internal customers.
- Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
- Experienced, with demonstrated history relevant to the food production industry.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Holds applicable licensing and certificates.
- Tolerant of unique, perhaps demanding, industrial working conditions.
- Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate protective equipment.
- Availability to work weekend and overtime during our harvest season (July-October).
