Our client in Ayer is in need of an Electrician to add to their team. Direct responsibility for working with Manager and Engineering Team to optimize plant and production lines efficiency through the maintenance of plant electric power supply and distribution, increasing reliability of manufacturing equipment, plant Motor Control Centers and Electric rooms. Effective modification of plant and production control systems, including but not limited to PLC systems

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Daily maintenance of electrical systems, including inspections of main electric power supply, MCCs, panels and equipment control cabinets.
• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC platforms, Building Operation WorkStation, CIP software, WWTP and RTO software, processing and warehouse instrumentation
• Identification and removal of redundant electrical equipment and power lines.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of variety of electrical and electronic equipment.
• Identification and planned correction of all electrical code non-compliances.
• Identification and correction of electrical hazards.
• Scheduled maintenance of fire alarm system and emergency lights.
• Coordination and participation in annual main disconnect tests.
• Participation in annual inspections and service of steam and hot water boilers
• Upgrades and improvement projects
• Advise on parts, components and materials
• Maintains documentation for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
• Supports maintenance technicians in installation, maintenance and repairs of plant utilities
• Support processing and packaging with efficiency and expertise when need arises
• CMMS Implementation to work orders, parts and materials requests, projects status.
• Build new electric panels and rebuild panels for new projects or existing equipment
• Services and calibrates instrumentation
• Maintain current electrician’s license and continues education
• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job
• Adheres to all Safety and GMP regulations.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Comprehensive knowledge of the standard principles and concepts of mechanical design and machine automation required
• High voltage as licensed and controls voltage and power supplies Knowledge of temperature recording and controlling instrumentation required
• Comprehensive knowledge of PLC, troubleshooting of utilities controls required.
• Working knowledge of electric actuators required
• Knowledge of at least one CMMS required
• High energy, productive, team player.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Has the ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate effective listening skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• MA’s Journeyman Electrician License required
• Pipe fitter experience required
• Three years of relevant work experience is required
• Three years of building HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Instrumentation training, ARC flash safety training, and experience and training related to governmental rules, regulations, electrical code, safeguarding safety systems required
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, computer printouts, system requirements, programs and manuals

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
