We are an expanding small local business offering dog training, walking and boarding services in Oakland, Alameda, and Berkeley. Are you a freelancer, gig worker, delivery driver, or student? This is the perfect role for a more flexible schedule!

This position involves working outdoors in and around the greater Oakland/Berkeley area. We are searching for people with a fun-loving spirit and a love of the outdoors to commit to our team. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from skilled dog trainers up close and personal and learn more about the ins and outs of dog walking/care.

We are currently seeking someone to walk Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Applicants with more open availability will be given priority due to flexible nature of the role. There are many opportunities for hours to grow!

About Our Dog Walking:

• Pack walks are on-leash neighborhood walks. We emphasize dogs heeling and listening to commands, many of the dogs are active training clients as well.
• We only walk Mondays through Fridays---no weekends or late nights!
• You will walk 3-6 dogs per walk During the walk you will pose the dogs for a fun pic that gets texted to the clients. Check out some of our work on Instagram! (@canine_comprehensive)
• We reimburse mileage!

About You:

• You have a reliable vehicle that can hold up to six dogs (hatchbacks, SUVs, or truck w/ shell). If you're not sure if your car is suitable, please reach out!
• You enjoy working outside and have a flexible schedule (dog walking typically occurs between 9am and 3:30pm M-F). Perfect for students, freelancers, and flexible work from home folks!
• You are available to work at least 4 days per week and are looking for a part-time job. The position we are currently hiring for will work Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to start.
• You love dogs!
• You can commit for a minimum of 1 year.
• You love being outdoors.
• You enjoy working solo, yet have a knack for customer service.
• You are reliable and punctual.
