Distribution Systems Specialist

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Distribution Systems Specialist are to:

• Acts as superuser for distribution process tools including the Blue Yonder, Transportation Management System, WITS (Inventory Management System), and other distribution specific applications;
• Develops and evaluates alternative freight optimization scenarios in the Blue Yonder Transportation modeling tool;
• Assists users in onboarding, training, and troubleshooting in the use of Bayer’s TMS system;
• Functional expert in the use of the enterprise software solutions used by the Distribution team, including Blue Yonder load planning, dock scheduling and freight pay, SAP, warehouse management tools including WITS and SalesForce;
• Proposes, solicits, and prioritizes system enhancements to enable more efficient or effective functionality of distribution process tools;
• Champions and coaches’ users in the execution of standardized processes;
• Functional distribution representative on information technology project teams and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field;
• At least four years’ experience in transportation management or logistics analytics;
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of systems and tools including TMS platforms, data visualization and reporting tools such as Spotfire or Tableau, and SAP.
• Experienced with SAP Hana, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce;
• Domain knowledge of agriculture.
