Director for Service & Justice
Job description
This position is full-time, based on an eleven (11) month schedule. Except for community based service activities, this position is expected to work on campus and does not offer a remote or hybrid component.
The Loyola High School’s Service and Justice Program serves an all-male student (ages 15 – 18) population of 1,250 students and engages their parents and Loyola faculty, staff and alumni in a comprehensive service and justice education program. Most notable among the various service activities, events and programs is the signature and annual Loyola Senior Service Project now in its 43rd year. The Community Service Program includes the sophomore and junior service programs conducted outside school hours on weekends and during vacation periods. The programing also includes both domestic and foreign-service immersions of varying durations.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal for Student Life, the Director of the Center for Service and Justice supports the strategic direction of the institution in advancing and organizing opportunities for community engagement and advocacy with a focus on inspiring students to develop as compassionate leaders in accord with the Jesuit tradition and Ignatian values of Loyola High School of Los Angeles. The Director for Service and Justice, with the support of the program coordinator, is responsible for ensuring the Center for Service and Justice continues to act on the founding mission of Loyola High School and the Society of Jesus while imbuing the mission and core values of Loyola High School.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
